Pygmalion Foundation Awards

In 2004, during a meeting with the academic community of Plovdiv Emil Stoyanov announced, that Pygmalio Foundation establishes a literary scholarship for talented students from Plovdiv University "Paissii Hilendarski".


The jury chaired by Prof. Dr. Cleo Protochristov is from the Department of History and Comparative Literature.


The first winner was Mariana Georgieva, a student in English Philology; in 2006 the best performance is of the student in sociology Krasimira Stoeva and in 2007 Laliyana Grueva, with majors in Bulgarian and French, won the scholarship. The winner for 2008 is Vesselina Baltova, student in Slavic philology. In 2009 the prize was won by the Bulgarian philology student Krassimir Andreev, and in 2010 the prize received Evelina Kovandzhiyska.
